Psychiatrist
Dr. Eric Chaghouri is a 2007 graduate from the University of California, Los Angeles, where he earned his B. A. in Biology with Summa Cum Laude honors. While at UCLA, he helped the men’s varsity volleyball team earn a National Championship in 2006. He was named the UCLA Scholar-Athlete of the Year in 2007.
He earned his medical degree from the Keck School of Medicine in 2011. He completed his internship training in 2008 at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and the remaining three years of residency in general adult psychiatry at the Los Angeles County and University of Southern California Medical Center. He served as the Chief Resident in psychiatric emergency services during his fourth year of residency. He also served as Resident Clinical Instructor and Volunteer Faculty in the Department of Psychiatry at the Keck School of Medicine.
After completing residency, Dr. Chaghouri accepted a fellowship position in forensic psychiatry at the prestigious USC Institute of Psychiatry and Law.
Since completing his forensic psychiatry fellowship, he has established a successful and thriving psychiatry private practice in West Hollywood and Century City, California, focusing on treatment of co-occurring psychiatric and addictive disorders. He works in an array of capacities with attorneys, courts, and other parties in actual or potential litigation. He also has extensive experience consulting and providing opinions on psychiatric issues for major television networks. He has a growing team of clinicians who he supervises and oversees for mental health care.
Dr. Chaghouri’s interests include addiction medicine, substance use disorders, forensic psychiatry, medical ethics, psychological autopsy, gender wellness, and evidence-based treatment of psychiatric conditions.
Medical Director
Raffi J. Ghurabi, DO, MS, FACOI is a board-certified physician in Internal Medicine and Addiction Medicine with over 15 years of experience spanning hospital medicine, urgent care, and addiction treatment. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Near Eastern Studies with a pre-medical concentration from the University of Chicago, followed by a Master of Science in Physiology and Biophysics from Georgetown University. He went on to complete his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine at Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine, where he also served as Research Chairman of the Student Osteopathic Medical Association.
Dr. Ghurabi completed his internal medicine training at DMC Sinai-Grace Hospital and Pacific Hospital of Long Beach, where he served as Chief Resident. Since then, he has held leadership and clinical roles including Medical Director of Torrance Urgent Care, Staff Physician at multiple urgent care centers, and Hospitalist with Providence Medical Group. His current practice focuses on addiction medicine, serving as a physician at several recovery centers, where he provides medication-assisted treatment, withdrawal management, and trauma-informed care for patients with co-occurring disorders.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Ghurabi has contributed to peer-reviewed publications in radiology and neuroscience and has presented at national conferences including the Radiologic Society of North America and the Michigan Osteopathic Association. He is a Fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Internists and an active member of the ACP, AMA, and AOA.
Fluent in English and conversational in Spanish, Dr. Ghurabi brings a broad clinical background and a strong commitment to patient-centered care, medical education, and advancing treatment approaches in both acute and chronic disease management.

Karina Patel considers herself a Southern California native, having been raised in
Huntington Beach from the age of four after immigrating to the US from Zambia, Africa.
She moved to Los Angeles in 1999 to attend Loyola Marymount University where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with Honors in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance.
Karina began her entrepreneurial journey in 2001 as a member of the startup team for Preferred Group, a luxury travel & concierge service. She quickly rose to the role of President and part-owner, where she played a pivotal role in shaping the company’s operational framework by developing and implementing comprehensive policies, procedures and industry leading service standards. Over the course of 15 years in the luxury hospitality industry, Karina consistently surpassed the expectations of a diverse range of international clients. She successfully negotiated partnerships with luxury brands including Van Cleef & Arpels and MGM Resorts Intl. She found great fulfillment in crafting bespoke experiences. In 2016, Karina transitioned her career to the fine jewelry industry, where she continued her passion for creating meaningful, impactful experiences.
In the summer of 2024, Karina embarked on a new chapter in her career, this time in the
Behavioral Health Services sector, launching KASA Recovery, another client service-focused business dedicated to making a positive impact in the lives of those she serves.
Clinical & Program Director
Ali obtained her BA in Criminal Justice from Michigan State University and her MSW from New York University, Silver School of Social Work. She has been licensed in CA since 2007.
Ali moved out to CA in 1999 and has never left! She’s originally from Boston, MA and will always love the East Coast, however she has made a life and home here in West Los Angeles.
Ali is a practicing psychotherapist and social worker who has specialized in the treatment of substance abuse disorder/dual diagnosis in the adolescent and adult population since 1999. Working in residential, IOP/PHP and private settings, Ali began her career at Vista Maria in Michigan, a Level 14, lockdown residential treatment center for female adolescents.
Since moving to CA, she has continued to develop her therapeutic and leadership skills while working in a variety of roles at various notable treatment programs including Amanacer, Center for Discovery, Destinations for Teens and others. Having served for over 20 years in the roles of Program Director, Clinical Supervisor and Clinical Director along with counseling many private clients, Ali enjoys tackling new challenges, helping clients struggling overcome addiction and trauma, working with and learning from enthusiastic treatment teams and continuing her self-education in the latest evidence-based, treatment modalities.
Program Coordinator & Certified Counselor
Dillon began his career in 2016 in Atlanta, working as a resident assistant in a young adult treatment program. In 2017, he relocated to Los Angeles, where he spent three years in various treatment roles, deepening his commitment to helping others. Passionate about making a difference, Dillon pursued and earned his certification as a substance use disorder counselor. With nearly a decade of experience, Dillon brings an intimate understanding of treatment operations and crisis intervention. He believes in blending humor, empathy, honesty, and transparency to build trust with clients, creating a strong foundation for meaningful change. His client-centered approach remains at the core of his work, and he is dedicated to continuous growth, planning to further his education to become a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the near future. Dillon’s extensive experience, paired with his unwavering passion for helping others, makes him a trusted and compassionate professional in the field of substance use disorder treatment.
